ENACT A LEGISLATURE FOR TOTAL BAN ON COW SLAUGHTERING, TO STOP OPERATION OF
RUNNING SLAUGHTER HOUSES AND CRUEL TREATMENT TO COWS AND OPENING OF GAU SADANS
AT LEAST ONE IN A DISTRICT THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY, UNDER THE COTROL AND WITH
EXPENSES OF CENTRAL GOVT., WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT FOR PROTECTION AND SAFETY OF
COW.

Prime Minister,
1. I,
like your goodself believe in Hindu Mythology. We are very much attached,
devoted and concerned for the welfare, betterment and well being of cows in
India. We have faith, sentiments and feelings of mother towards a Cow. However,
unfortunately we have failed to stop slaughtering of cows in India, where
majority of population is of Hindu culture and domain. Cow is our spiritual symbol
like a mother, because of presence of so many vitamins and life saving
medicines in her milk, urine and cow dung. We used to worship a cow. We also
used to spare some meals as fodder of cows. There are also so much ‘Gau Shalas/Gau
Sadans’ in almost each and every city and town in India, for maintenance,
welfare and well being of cows.
2. Services
of cow has become a Dharma in India on account of her being symbol and mother
of physical, mental and spiritual prosperity. It should be kept in mind that amelioration
of cattle depends upon the growth of the man and vice versa. This is possible
only when equilibrium is maintained in utilization of land and maintaining its
fertility, growing of food grains and suitable fodder and cost of milk
production and its economical disposal. There should be a balance in all the
three.
3. It
seems that at present cow keeping has become a burdensome task in India. Cow
has become a burden on her owner. Why will he protect her and food her well. When
a cow becomes less useful on account of her old age or otherwise, unwanted dry
cattle and undesirable progeny of the cow are slaughtered after fattening them
for beef to avoid her becoming a burden to the owner.
4. It
is an important duty of every one, whether he is an ordinary citizen, a
business man, Government Servant or an officer, Gram Panchayat or Central
Government, all of them must work and do their might for the cause of
amelioration of the country. There are two important factors of this work.
First is to rear adequately and affect improvement in the quality for useful
and less useful cattle. In doing this,
we must keep in view the important fact that the man and the cow will progress
together. One cannot be left behind the other.
5. The
man has become so selfish that he never pays any attention to grow fodder crops
for cattle, inspite of the fact that they are reared for his benefit. The
Government and the public shall have to take adequate steps to improve the
availability of grasses found there to, enable ‘Go-Sadans’ to maintain the
largest possible number of retired cattle. We must make a separate arrangement
for growing of green fodder of suitable quality and in sufficient quantity and
adopt stall feeding of cattle other than those sent to ‘Go-Sadans’.
6. In the art of cow-keeping or agriculture, both
expert and official opinion has, it appears, resolved to look at the issue of
our cattle wealth from the point of view of ‘returns’ alone. In the name of ‘practicalism’
it is questioning the validity of cow-keeping when buffalo and tractor can
serve the desired purpose. But it is a commercial view which is no more tenable
than that of the needlessness of ghee against flashy ‘vitamin’-ed vanaspati.
Sentiment apart, scientific considerations show that neither cow and its son
cannot be adequately replaced by any other animal or machine. An attempt is
here made to discuss briefly the distinguished place of cow in our economy and
its unrivalled position in our every day life.
7. If
leading a pious and useful life is the way to reach God, surely this Go Mata
was far more deserving of the great abode than many a creature called man. ‘Cow
is nothing but human ’Krishana of yore discovered and touched this aspect of
the cow and brought about a fundamental revolution in the life of his
countrymen.
8. Ours
is a cow-centered economy according to ancient inheritance. It should remain a
cow centered economy according to modern science.
9. To
serve and protect the cow is basic part of Indian Culture. To serve and protect
the cow is of great importance even in our modern and religious traditions and
being adopted ever since so many centuries and by our Spiritual Gurus.
10.
Cow is mother of Rudras,
daughter of things, sister of Aditi sons, and Treasury of Dhritrupi Amrit [holy
water]
11.
Due to cow slaughtering,
earth takes its adverse, feels hurt and injure and natural calamities and
adversities, such as earth quakes, bhu sakhalan, floods, cyclones etc. etc.
used to take place thereby causing a lot of human causalities, substantial loss
of natural and constructed properties, assets and privileges of life.
12.
Cow is an important, most
valuable and Kalyan Prad animal. Cow is main Kiran of God Surya. This wave is
found only in the Gaume. Cow and earth are two cases of Gaume. Both are helpful
and co-associate each other. In Maritu Lok basic power if earth and dev Lok
basic power of Cow. No one else can exempt other than Earth and Cow in this
world. In our holy books cow is predicted as ‘Sarvtirthmai’. To have a look at
cow one has to see all the holy shrines and Devtas. To have a round of cow, and
please Lords Brahspati, Vishnu and Inder.
13.
Mahatma Gandhi and Dr.
Rajender Prasad were also admirers and spiritually attached and concerned
towards cow. Dr. Rajender Prasad stopped wearing leather shoes and was taking
only cow products as his meals.
14.
Unfortunately cows are
slaughtered in a most cruel manner, first of all its legs are tied, boiled
water is sprinkled on living cow and then put under cutter machines, but still
no action is being taken against such slaughter houses. They are liable to be
punished/treated like a ‘rare of rarest cases’ in case of murder of a human
life.
15.
In view of aforesaid facts
and circumstances, it is appropriate and in the fitness of things that there
should be at least one ‘GAU SADAN’ FOR PROTECTIONS AND MAITNENANCE OF COWS,
MORE PARTICULARY THE OLD AND NON PROFITABLE COWS, in a District, throughout India, at the cost, expenses and
supervision/control of Central Govt. of India.
16.
Though we are concerned
and against slaughtering of pet animals, but we give preference to prevent
slaughtering of cows, being like our mother and a spiritual animal, involving
our natural feelings and sentiments in it.
I am hopeful that you would appreciate the natural
feelings and sentiments of majority of Hindu communities towards cow and would
surely and definitely enact an legislative for absolutely prohibiting the cow
slaughter in India, at all costs, and would respect such natural feelings and
sentiments of masses of the country, for this cause you are also deeply
concerned and devoted.
